IRIS VAN DAALEN

Dutch design student Iris van Daalen is making jewellery out of hair. She combines fake locks with plastic to make one-off pieces that package hair in a "flat and graphical" way.

This amazing painstakingly delicate process by Richard Galpin, begins with a large photograph of a cityscape. Using a scalpal, he scores and peels away sections of the emulsion from the surface of the photograph to create an intricate geometric image. AMAZING!!!!

Was it worth the shakes?

Despite the fact that I was freezing, I think it was worth the runny nose and shakes for the rest of the evening!!!
